Haunted Drive By 2023 REGISTRATION

Haunts Against Hunger Park Forest started the haunted drive by during Covid due to not being able to do the Haunted House in 2020. However, we wanted to continue collecting food for the food pantries. During Covid we continued our mission to feed people during the holidays even when many were unemployed during this time. We were able to collect food and funds to donate almost 9,000 food items to 3 separate food pantries. Register today via our contact page to be placed on the list for families to see your creativity! Registration will start on October 1st so families please mark your calendars for your night to drive by! If unable to register then please drop off non perishable food at Park Forest Village Hall.

On Halloween Night we like to dress up and hand out candy while people look at our decorations!  We advise families to enjoy themselves while taking the trip to observe the various properties but please do not drop trash on the properties, have loud music and please note that the time to look will end at 8 pm each night.  See detailed rules below.

Thanks in advance! Chuck, Kim, Vernice and the rest of the HAH team!

Register your house here for the haunted drive by.  We will update the house list for people to drive by to view your home at night.  On Halloween Night make it fun but dressing up, handing out candy and just making it a fun night for all.  Please read the information below.

What's Next

Families can start to register their homes for the drive by starting October 10th, 2023.  We will place your address on the contact list (no names).  We ask that you place a bin or box out that says "FOOD DONATION" so people can place their donation in your bin.  You can advertise your house on social media, get family/friends/co-workers out to visit the various homes and donate and you can get your village/city involved and create a community competition to get people to vote on homes in your area.  You can spin this in many ways.  In the end, the goal for Haunts Against Hunger is to feed people during the Thanksgiving Holidays.  Kim usually picks up the food right after October 31st because it has to be sorted and placed in boxes for the various food pantries.  People and businesses can also donate $$$ and every penny goes to purchase food for the food pantries.  If you would like to help with packing boxes and sorting items then please let us know.  Volunteers are always needed!

Should we do a HAUNTED HOUSE in 2024?

Follow us on Facebook because we plan to add a survey to our page to get feedback on doing another Haunted House in 2024.  We no longer have our Park Forest space and is looking for other opportunities.

We will need:

* A Facility for the Haunted House

* Volunteers to help build starting in September, 2023

* Wood donations for the walls

* Volunteers for acting roles within the Haunted House

Why have a Haunted House?

* It's Fun and HAH was one of the best haunted houses in this area (Illinois Haunted Houses)

* It raises more funds for food (ticket prices are cheaper if you purchase with your donation of non perishable food).

*It brings people to the community for a positive event for all ages.

We are an ALL VOLUNTEER TEAM - we make nothing for what we have done since 100% goes back to the pantries.  We need to have volunteers to make this happen.
